As a dentist and specialist we perform a wide range of dental procedures. Answering your questions is all a part of the process.
Nelson prosthodontics testimonials I recently had three veneers fitted on my three front teeth. Prior to having the veneers fitted my teeth were not straight, they stuck out, were discoloured and made me feel self conscious.
After having the veneers fitted the difference it has made is huge. I am so pleased with them, I now have straight, white front teeth that are all the same size! I am now no longer self conscious about my smile and that makes me feel great!

A slim (0.5 ml.) mouth tray is constructed by our specialist lab technicians to fit in your mouth perfectly.

You are then supplied with the gel, which you apply in the guard, and wear for half an hour over two weeks.

You may find your teeth become temporarily sensitive for a few days.

A more permanent solution to brighter teeth and a dazzling smile.

A thin layer is shaved off the front surface of the tooth and a mould is taken.

A technician then makes veneers out of porcelain, which are then bonded to the tooth, producing a more attractive appearance.

With our own dedicated laboratory and expert technicians the whole procedure can be completed within three days.

A long term and attractive solution.

Dental Procedure
The tooth is trimmed to a peg shape.

A mould is taken and a temporary crown is fitted. This allows you to become used to the finished article and allows our technicians time to design, colour match and construct your final crowns.

Any minor adjustments are made at the final fitting, and a follow up/review appointment is made. It is worth noting many people find the most uncomfortable part is the taking of the actual mould.

Bridges follow the same procedure as crowns (see above).

The teeth either side of the gap are crowned and the missing tooth/teeth replaced with the new bridge.

To speed the process your new bridge is designed and constructed by our experienced and qualified onsite technicians.

Any minor adjustments are made at the final fitting, and a follow up/review appointment made.

Though Bridges have a proven history, you may find an implant offers a more suitable solution. The merits of either option can be discussed fully in your initial consultation.

An intricate procedure, but with the highest success rate of all.

Dental Procedure
Implants can be used anywhere there are missing teeth. Though quite an involved process, Andrew oversees every step to ensure a successful outcome.

The procedures begins with a consultation. After you decide to proceed, a second consultation is required with Gerry Thyne the Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon.

Andrew then takes x-rays, and you may require a CT scan. The results of this can be sent to the USA to construct a  ‘surgical guide’ for your operation.

Then onto surgery, performed under sedation, often with provisional restorations fitted. To allow the bone to fully heal a gap of 10 to 12 weeks is recommended. After healing a mould is taken, and following checks and try-ins the final implant-supported restorations are fitted.

A follow up/review date is then set. Although the surgery sounds invasive almost all patients are surprised by how painless it is.
